GraceNotes: Holding the Space for … Reflection

#98 — June 1, 2020

Blessed are the poor in heart: they shall see God.

— Matthew 5:8

Greetings, Inspired Seekers!

I hope your heart is well. And, in these troubled times, I know that that is a big hope! But, when our hearts are well, we are able to be in flow with the Divine. We are able to see the joy and beauty of creation in spite of the pains and sorrows that we also face. One does not cancel out the other, instead, both share the same heart-space of grace.

For when the heart is well and fulfilling its calling of awakening us to the beauty of Divine Purpose, we see life in terms of “both/and” rather than “either/or.” We see the unity rather than the division. And, heaven knows, there is a plethora of division that surrounds us as waves try to dash our hearts upon the rocky shores of chaos.

If our hearts are well and open and whole, we are able to receive and share the grace and Divine Love that is freely offered to us! We see the big picture of humanity instead of fragments or just the pixels of an image. And, most of all, when our hearts are well, we see the hearts of others, filled with the inspiration and goodness of the Holy One - just as we see our own. Love reflects love. Compassion reflects compassion. When our hearts are well, the highest good of all is served.

And in troubling times, that big hope is fulfilled!

Grace, fully yours,
Reverend Deborah
