GraceNotes: Holding the Space for … Reflection

#13 — May 1, 2013

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

— Albert Einstein

Welcome, Inspired Seeker!

In the Northeast it is easy to view nature in all her glory during the Spring. Buds are bursting forth, rivers and streams are full and running, light and dark are clearly differentiated, and all of our senses come alive. The true nature of nature is visible.

So, what is our true nature? And, if we are confused or conflicted, are we in that state because we overlook, ignore or argue with our true self? Life in nature always flows, even in the dormant months. Are we in sync with our true flow, or do we try to race against the current? What is our heart calling us to do? What is our heart calling us to stop doing? And are we open to the infusion of grace that is always flowing and available?

When I let go of who I am, I become what I might be, says the Tao.

The Buddha says: Your work is to discover your work and then, with all your heart, to give it to yourself.

And the truth will set you free, proclaims the Christian text.

The Vedanta tells us that the wise man beholds all beings in the self and the self in all beings; for that reason he does not hate anyone.

Within the Interfaith community, we recognize the One Source of all and we honor the union of Divinity and Humanity that is present in all of us. But, no one is perfect in this life on Earth. So, as we grow in our spirituality and as we expand into our True Nature, let us walk into wholeness peaceably. What a journey it is and will continue to be! May you continue to live in TheSpaceForGrace and may you and the Current become one in goodness!
